hi, i am looking at purchashing a 2000 liberty rx, dealer service up to date, very good condition but.............. 210000kays on the clock.
i was wondering what major proplems/repairs to consider eg cv joints, timing belts, potential rust areas etc.

210 000 is not high for a Subaru, especially if it has full service history. Have a look at the log books and see if the timing belt was replaced at 200,000 like it should have been. If not you can add a few hundred bucks to the price to get it done.
Rust is pretty well non-existent in them. It is quite rare to see a rusty Liberty.
You can test the cv's by driving it early in the morning as soon as they open. Do some tight turns and listen for clicking noises. I say early in the AM as they are always noisier when cold.
Only other thing that would really need checking is the suspension. Do a bounce on each corner and check that it responds as it should. The struts can get a little soft in them by that age.
