Gvm's around 1600kg, with a kerb mass of 920kg that leaves 680kg (still more than holdens new ute...) of carrying ability, but that doesn't take into account fuel and drivers weight.

Ive carried 850 kg in bricks and motor to the tip, i was looking at the sky all the way there! Theres a weighbridge at the tip.Wouldnt do it again next time use L coils in the rear.

i was only looking to carry a max of around 500kg or so, seein as the brumby will also be my parts carrier for my big block XA least i know it will do it easy (old cast iron not light unfortunatly)

Hmmm... My 1990 Brumby sales catalogue lists the payload as a 'rugged 395kg'
