turbo'd Subaru Buggy

Hey just found this while i was looking for a new car. Imagine this little thing on offroad trips :D

Looks like its blown rather than turbo'd...

Dunno if i'd like to be behind the wheel of that thing... And I think it interesting looking at those "poor" sunnies that have the slick rubber wrapped around them, they look odd.

Good find though, you gonna put a deposit on it???

My rally specialist (AJ) has been building buggies for Khana cross events for some years . The trouble with the Subaru layout is that the engine fits a long way forward of the in line transmission , he's probably found out the hard way that its very front heavy and consequently doesnt handle too well particularly on dirt .

The most successful ones generally use a transverse engine/gearbox mounted in the rear of the "frame" . The weight of the driver being in front of the engine improves the front to back weight balance , the weight of the engine box over the rear driving wheels makes for "good" traction .
