Hello, i just wanted to put myself out there and say hi, also put a little about my new Subaru.

Just brought today & a huge change from what im used to (Toyota), 1987 Subaru Leone RX Coupe. Although im still a true Toyota man for now & still own a Mk3 Supra, 3L DOHC Turbo

About the car,

Motor: Low kms EA82T
Box: fulltime 4WD 5speed
Body: Very clean with no rust, i belive is facelift too (confirm anyone?)
Mods: 2.5" from the turbo back with one coby resonator & bov

Sorry about the poor quality but here she is,

I paid $1400NZD for it, roughly $1223AUD. It came with a spare gearbox, turbo, diff, CV's & other odds'n'ends. Would you say that was a good price?

Nice to meet you all and all comments welcome :-)

Mike.

Yeah thats a fantastic price...they are rare in Australia, not sure about NZ but I'd say not too many of them.
Good buy!

Hey thanks, that makes me feel alot more at ease lol. Im now on the hunt to find the full factory bodykit for these! They look sweet with wheels, lowered and bodykit'd (dont get me wrong, im not the type of guy to throw hideous chrome mags, rediculous BOV and mirror tints on vehicles). I like a sleak JDM look that the car below has pulled off beautifully!

I brought it as an import, unfortunatly no, none were NZ new either...so quite rare, on the upside there more desirable in that respect.

I bit like my Toyota Trueno AE86 i just sold, rare and sought after, not to mention, HUGE colt followings lol

I didn't lol ;-) If you were to look hard enough & had enough $ you can have any car without having to import (within reason).

Very nice find you have there, and I like what you have in mind for the car.
Hope it turns out just the way you wont.

Mike,

Always good to see another Kiwi on the board, where are you?
In case you dont already know the PCD on these subies is a right bi!@h to find wheels for, 13inch there are heaps, 14inch are harder to find, some very hard. 15 inch is rocking horse poo (never seen any in NZ) unless you buy new superlights at ~$1k a set of four.
However if you like the rims on the car you pictured (honeycomb style) I have a set of bronze 14inch ones just like them looking for a home.
Let me know if you are keen, I am in Rotorua.

All the best with the car man, they are good fun just dont use the 4WD on tarseal or you will break something.

Yeah it is good to hear there are other Kiwi's on here! Im in Opotiki, about 1.5hours away from you, would love to check out your EJ rally car sometime!

As for the stud pattern, i was just going to get some spacer/adapters made up so i can use common wheels. How much would you want for your 14's? Im keen :-)

And by 4WD, did you mean centre diff set to locked? This RX has fulltime 4WD lol, kinda hard not to use 4WD...
