Hi,
Don't have a manual for the car :( Can you fit a child restraint ? If so, where are the anchor points in the back ?

Thanks,
Mike.

From what I can recall, the anchor points are on the roof lining, just forward of the rear tailgate. There was three plastic plugs that you could pull out depending on the location of the baby seat. The three holes had threads but just make sure the bolts you put aren't too long.

I spoke to RACQ awhile ago, all post 1990 cars have anchor points installed, after some hunting found one under the left rear cover in the carrgo bay of the l wagon, matched a bolt to the thread and they approved it as suitable. Only had to make a hole in the lining for the bolt to pass through.

They are definatly in the roof, complete with thread, the one in the floor you are using is to bolt a tyre in after changing a flat on EFI cars as the standard sized tyre wont fit back under the bonnet where the space saver came from.;)

Thinking about picking up an 85 touring wagon does this have the 3 holes in the roof for baby seat?

You'll need to check, as from memory the child restraint ADR was put into place late in 1978, so it should have them. They should be near the top of the rear tailgate door. They have a special bolt/thread pattern that uses the child restraint anchor bolt (which you can buy from supacrappy). They aren't too hard to fit but if you need help just ask.

Thanks Paul,

I saw a few ads with the seller saying they needed to get rid of their wagon as it couldn't fit a child seat. The boss has laid the law down if I want a wagon the brumby has to go and that's never going to happen!

Wow.. don't let your missus near mine :)

I'm sure you need 1 family wagon for her to drive and 1 Brumby for you to drive. The Brumbys are so handy when you need to collect stuff and go away fishing :p
