anyone ? I have a little clearance issue you may be able to assit with, like clearance available above the turbo pipe with Subaru 4WD Turbo cast into it, before agitating the underside of the bonnet

How much body lift you got?

nil body lift and not planned either

I am using a magnetic pick up tool that is extendable, placing magnet on front throttle body to manifold bolt head I have 187mm from top of bolt head to underside of closed bonnet in my gLat, and hoping like heck I get the same when EA82T eventually goes in.

You got bodylift then ?

nope, mine's an EA81T

The only Brumby’s I have seen with 82T’s have had 2” lift as well, so it difficult for me to comment - sorry.

Maybe with our collective minds, we can sort it out.

I have found that once I can weld/stick up my Impco 200 gas mixer adapter to the EA82T throttle body it will clear the bonnet of the L series internally , THE BIG BUT is will it also fit under my Brumbys bonnet without reshaping it ala powerbulge ? Considerations already in thought process is which engine mount rubber blocks to use - MY or L - it will be wait and see.

I am thinking to fit up my spare EA82T to my spare Brumby (removing engine off floor and filling some currently wasted space) to do me trial ftment

Dunno about the gas thinga-mid-jiggy, but I had an EA82turbs (with the embossed x-over pipe - NOT the Spider) in my MY wagon, using the std L mounts, no clearance issues, save for the obvious LH chassis rail mod. Even kept my spare tyre mounted there!

I have an 89 brumby with an ea82turbo in it. It has a 3inch lift kit. I am sure without the lift kit, the rear pipe would foul on the firewall. I bought the car with this configuration. The side rails have also been recessed to accomodate the overhead cams. Can supply pics if you want, but need to know exactly what you're after.

nncoolg - no lift ?? you may be able to help esp if you have an extendable aerial style magnet pik up like at RIPCO for a few bucks

subybrumby - don't scare me !! clearance issues were sorted (in my head) as far as general fitment coz I've seen a std height Brumby with EA82T intercooled and he had no obvious rail alterations but didn't look at turbo clearance.

I gotta get some photos of Aarons STi powered Brumby with its very easy looking rail massage that fits twin cam EJ !! (I hear on the grapevine it is for sale @ about $15k - half what it all cost )

I'll grab a few photos tomorrow if you just bear with me...just for interests sake..Its on blocks at the moment attempting the L series lower control arm mod on the front to fix camber issues. I'll get some photos of the general layout and those problem areas that have been identified for your info..No problem
