ok guys this mite sound dumb.
on friday my operator and i were enjoying a beer in the shed. talking about doing the lift on my brumby.
he sujested if you undo all the boltes on it could the tourtion tube twist or turn if its wound up on the adjusting bolt. im thinking i dont know . but its a good thought.

is he rite.

i said just to be safe i would only take one side of compleatly. and just loosten the other side. just enough to get the blocks in.any one know. or know what im talking about

The torsion bar is completely contained in the housing.
The housing could quite safely be removed from the ute with no dramas.
Better to be safe than sorry though eh?
