ha, ha, ha (in a friendly way). I did the same (loose bolts) a couple of years ago - went on a cruize with OzLiberty boys, and heard 'thump', 'thump', 'thump' - couldnt tell what it was, and was getting worse as the cruize went along. Wheel did quite fall off, but almost - found out what it was at the end of the cruize by jacking car up.

Ive had a wheel come loose before and it made a constant thud. but this time i had very little warning. The car was fine the day before I could only hear the occassional thud. I thought it might of been worn ball joints.
The next day I only got a few KM's from home when this happened.
I was doing 110 at the time. SCARED THE S@%t OUT OF ME. LOL.
But now i can have a good laugh out of it.

Hmm , did we grab 4WD first and then the hand brake ?
Not really funny but you do realise that you've piloted your first 3WD Subaru ...
As for the flat spot you want to hear what locomotive wheels sound like after they've slid on the rail head . Clunk clunk clunk etc .
A good one is one you walk away from cheers A .

well your not the only one to do that.
It happen to me some years ago in my old 83 wag, I was doing 80km at the time with my sister in the front with me, all of a sudden the fell down on the left side, the wheel was then going farster then us, pasted us and then I seen it go up a bank into the bush.
My sister who was 19 at the time was freeking out, I found the wheel took 1 wheel nut off each wheel and put the wheel back on.
I did not do as much damage as you but did have to replace the balljoint as the bolt was gone.
this all happend just like you, was in a rush to get the car back on the road and forgot to tighten the wheel nuts.
glad no one was hurt......bet you wont do that again, I never have.

[quote="discopotato03"]Hmm , did we grab 4WD first and then the hand brake ?
No i used the brakes to pull the car back straight,
The damage bill:
1x ball joint
1x rotor
1x Lowercontrol arm
Ive learnt my lesson. LOl
