Hi guys I'm having trouble with my Insurance comp. I am trying to insure my 93 L-series wagon, but they say it can't be a L-series they say it has to be a GL but there is nothing on my car or any of the cars papers that says anything but L-series. How can I prove which it is. Can anyone help?

GL is the "level", just like there is DL.
L is the series. Brumbys, 1800 sportwagons are MY series.
I'd say find another insurer, if you don't have any joy.
I have another car that has been recently changed to another insurer for that reason.

I found the same with GIO and Shannons , but Shannons fella persevered and changed things to suit. My effin compliance plate says it is an L. GL and DL and Leone were marketing designations I suspect and badged as such. I do not have an L badge just subaru and all the showy turbo 4WD electro pneumatic height control suspension stickers. Go Shannons I say

I insured my other car with Vigil. Previously Shannons.
Shannons wouldn't budge from agreed value of $38000, now insured with Vigil for $90000 and premium is $400 cheaper.

Hmmm - VK Group A - hope it had the valve spring recall done. I was in the passenger seat of one at 220 when it went "BANG"

This one's got $500 valve springs ( my engine rebuild ) and I've spun it past 7000 many times, won't go bang in a hurry.
