Subaru bush Basher RWD
Subaru bush Basher RWD
Hey Guys now you might think that ive wrecked my baby girl but its so MUCH FUN to Drive as is rear wheel drive.
My folks brought 2 of them for $400 and 1 was my bros and the other was mine, but his stoped going and then he was doing a burnout in Front wheel drive and then it went bang in the transfer case and since then its been RWD.
It has an EA71 and 5 speed manual box, and if you can tell what model it is can you please tell me
I will be putting up pics soon.
enjoy

Well i thinking if it has a EA71 i might be a FF-1 or Star.. Or it might just happen to be a L-series with the EA71.. Subaru did do that for some reason?

Well Subaru's don't really have a transfer case as such, they aren't old Landcruisers....
What went bang was probably just one of the front CV joints. So if you ever want to return it to 4x4 spec its a very simple and inexpensive repair.

big red, if you say where your from it might be easier. Some country's got the EA71 in later years, so a EA71 5sp 4WD combo might be factory. But in the US and here in Australia it definitely isn't standard.
And for the life of me I can't see how anything in the gearbox could break leaving it with RWD only. Maybe one of the CV joints died?

Don't quite get your meaning here, we are part of Australia, and not some obscure country so have same vehicle import rules etc. Although we would be quite happy to detatch ourselves from the mainland given half the chance.AndrewT wrote:Looks like he's in Tassy which I guess means his car could be imported from just about any country =)
Back OT, I agree with the dead CV theory here.
