Dual carb ea81

Post by stinky » Thu Dec 08, 2005 10:02 am

For those that don't know I have sold my white wagon ( being picked up in the new year ) and bought 82_leone's subaru which he dropped off last weekend.

It's got among other goodies a dual carb engine ( ex Beige Hornet I believe ). The difference between the weber and this are amazing. The weber seemed to pick up a bit quicker off the mark but started to run out as it got to higher reves, the dual carbs on the other hand has a nice steady acceleration all the way to 6000 rpms and probably even higher if I have the balls to push it.

I can't wait to take this thing wheelin' :)

Of course I've also got the ej18 to transplant into it sometime but until then I'm gonna have a ball with this new car.

The twin carb motors scream, about the same torque levels as a normal one, but don't they fly up the revs quick!!
Have fun with the twins.
