Thanks bro. About time I signed up on here. Thanks for getting me into Subies too, even if they are just back-to-front Volksies...

Spose I should put pics up sometime of how bad mine looks so far.

Cheers,
Steve.

Hey, while I'll proudly proclaim that my Subie is absolutely the most practical car for general use for me at the moment, and will no doubt be a capable off-roader, I could still put a 2WD Volksie places that would rip a Subie to bits, if it would even fit. And by Volksie, I mean a fully engineered 10' long fibreglass beach buggy with decent meat on the back end, although the mechanicals are standard old VW.

I'm going to really love having my Subie, especially with the custom touches and wide wheels, but I still have two beach buggies that will see use again, and a gorgeous old Notchback (although it will be strictly a retro road race car). I do like Subaru motors too, but I am quite partial to the simplicity and efficiency of the air cooled Dub donks.

In the pics below, Mine is the closest red buggy is the first pic, the middle one in the second, and the third pic is a couple of the buggies that get used more off-road that on road.

You forgot to mention water-cooled and 4wd... welcome to the site. Love the look of those buggies, there's a blue one buzzing around benders that i see occasionally.

Cheers
