Forester GT

Post by Jack » Mon Jul 30, 2007 9:53 pm

This question is for a fella I met on another forum, and if you lot can help that would be great.

1. Anyone know what the factory power / torque figures are for a Forester GT (EJ20T)?

2. Also, how simple is it to tweak the GT to produce more power / torque?

This fella is tossing up on whether to buy a Forester GT, or a Ford RTV ute. Thanks in advance,

Jack

odd to choose out of those two completely different cars for different purposes lol. but definately the gt goes on road better, goes off road better.

if its a gt its a 2.0 turbo the xt is 2.5t

i'm pritty sure the kw's of the gt's (EJ20T) are about 120kw-130kw and about 250nm at the engine and the XT's (EJ25T) are about 150-160kw and 300-320nm and a few mods that would give ya some more power would b 3 inch turbo back exhaust front mount or sti top mount re mapped ecu new air filter and maybe u can up the boost a bit :D

the forester GT power output was pretty lame from the factory, i think about 130kw was right. fitting a TD04 turbo from a WRX is a pretty common mod to get you up around 160KW

http://www.gtrydaz.com is a GT forester specific club. they will be able to answer your questions
