Cruising down Roe Hwy today... and BANG....

Seams like someone hiding in the bushes with a rock wasn't a Subaru fan. Now the question is... How does one find a replacement window for an imported 24 year old Hatch.

:(

This would have been around 12:45.
I was travelling at 100 at the time too.

Damage is a little worse than i first thought... i assumed the glass window was flat... and it's not.

did anybody see that a fool recently severely injured a passenger by throwing a rock onto a highway.

Subarino - i have no idea but i would have assumed that wagon windows and hatchie windows were about the same size... ie for a hatch its just that the rear seats / doors are missing.

by your despair i'm guessing i'm wrong though.

Lucky it was only the back window mate and nothing else. Good luck finding one. have you thought of getting a perspex one or something similar?

The back half of a hatch doesn't even closely resemble the wagons unfortunately.

Yeah im thanking my lucky stars i didn't get clocked in the face. Ohh ahd i kept the rock.

gee.. not good news mate... that sucks mate, sorry..

Other option is to have the window or an plastic template (melted by using heat gun to make the shape, take it to wreckers and go around all cars of different makes and see if you can get very very close match on the windscreen or curved windows which you could take the glass out and get the glass cut out? get where I'm coming from?

Thats something I would do rather import something.
Cheers

Yeah NZ or the US. The US seem to have plenty of them there. As for shipping glass overseas - I sent a Landcruiser FJ60 rear glass to the US and it arrived safe and sound. Just make sure whoever is packing it packs it REALLY well. Real bummer dude - some ppl are complete low lifes.
