Interweb Photos -> Blank Numberplates
Why do people always blank out their numberplates in photos on the internet? This I cannot understand.
in a hope that their cars aren't recognised in the general public from the internet.
some cars may have been featured to have expensive and desireable wares that may be considered desireable by scum.
a good friend of mine has been harassed on the internet like this. His ebay account, his email accounts, all his forum accounts have been hacked into. His online bank account was even hacked into.
He fixed all this, and only a month later, was chased by two thugs in a commodore and was rammed up the back end of. They gave chase, but there is only so much time a VN commodore can keep up to an 11 second RX7! Luckily the damage was minimised, and he now has moved to another state for work.
my theory is, people blank their numberplates in photos, in a bid to make them and their cars a little less recognizable in real life.
