maybe u shuld try a suspension camera aswell

Yep it was!

I think the noise is just backlash in the diff gears, but there seems to be a bit too much movement somewhere. I'll have to check the bush.

so its only making noises when u start moving?
thats the only time ive heard backlash on other cars

not looking at that on dial up for fear of 'problems' but that idea of strapping in a cam in a problem area is one i have been thinking of for years. Good onya for actually doin' it. what sort of camera ? and equiment did you use?

It makes a "clunk" at the start of acceleration/decelleration.

The camera is a Jaycar QC3449 connected to the external AV in on a dv cam.

We use it at work on the bottom of a tractor plough. I just had it cable tied to the swaybar which is why the fuel tank looks like it's moving.

im having the exact same problem with my brumby at the moment 1 big clunk while braking and again when i take off its only since new engine and gearbox so have you got it down to anything yet i have been under my car 2 weeks in a row now and still no luck

When I used to have an MY wagon I had the same problem in FWD, but in 4WD it was not as bad so I just assumed it was worn gears in the gearbox.

I've only just got the 4WD working in the RX and keep forgetting to see if that makes any difference.

I'll see if I can hook the camera up to something stable and tape it again.
