Doyou reckon that a wrx 4.1 Box would be to much for the old ea81 in my brumby? I'd like to put in a 5 speed d/r box with a higher final drive and seeing as the 3.9 are so elusive , I thought why the hell not a 4.1? yea or nay?

4.1 and d/r? thats gunna be a mix and match gearbox if im not mistaken and to fit an ej box its guna need an adaptor to bolt to a ea motor plus custom/ modded flywheel, unless you already have a ej motor and or box in the brumby

Picky, Picky, technically subs are speakers. as it happens, according to that I have eight speakers. 2 subs, 2 mid low, 2 mid high, and 2 tweeters. used 4 inch splits for the mid highs with a spacer to fit them to the kick plate on the lower portion of the door towards the hinge. kicks some ass, let me tell you.

I belive the outback boxes are 4.1 and d/r but it's only a 20% reduction not like the L series which is a 50% reduction, if you get a 4 bolt pre Gen3 (late '99) you can fit the L series low range to it and get the best of both worlds.
Fitting it to an EA81 is going to be a long winded effort which will hardly be worth the effort, while you're at it you should fit the EJ engine to go with it.

Don't worry I will. I'm trying to do up the brumby as much as I can without doing the ej convert. as much as I love the idea of having an ej22 or 20t, I kinda want to keep her as true to form as possible. except for the exhaust... and the Weber...and the stereo... and later maybe the gear box.
