Hi, I was just looking at the opld Backyard Boys site and they had an add for 4 lug to 5 lug adapter plates for older series Subies. I desperately want a set but their email from that site is obselete. Anybody know of these or how to get in contact with the Backyard boys? Desperately want a set as this sounds considerably easier than the full hub swap conversion available from other sites. Anybody?

interesting. have seen that before, but being rather mechanically illiterate, balked at the level of detail. not to mention it seems to require more than whats in the kit. Money, as always, is a limiting factor. and does it not need an engineers certifiacte?

Seems wierd that a completely re-engineered wheel kit would be closer to being legal than stud adapters, though, eh? You got any idea how they are supposed to work?

the stud adaptors?
they have a thick metal ring with the 4 stud pattern in them that bolts to your hub and has the other stud pattern and studs on it however in not sure why its not legal just that it is
the other kit is because it is using the hubs off another vehicle that is designed for having the 5 stud hubs also with that kit you get better brakes and better suspention

I suppose the easy way of doing it would be to get all relevant adapters and kits, then buy a wrx front cut and just swap it all over, ngine box and all. Problem is, at that expense, I could buy a wrx straight up. would have to be easily over 10000 grand, parts and labour.
