i had my microtech ecu dyno tuned tuned today down at rotormotion and ive got some pre-lift/biggerwheels and post-lift/biggerwheels results that u may be interested in. or not.
i have 2 dyno sheets from one of the previous owners of the car who put the engine in. 90.1 HP and 110.8 HP im assuming thats both with the ATA intercooler installed. today (after lift and with big k&n pod) it got 99.6 HP. Also interesting to see is the boost pressure goes up to about 12psi at the higher speed- i thought about 8-9 was the limit.

that looks like that 110hp one was probably in second gear (only going to 110kph) so thats probably most of the power difference right there.

looks like its going well.

it would be in third gear all dyno places use third gear for power runs...

So how's she driving now.....did they manage to iron out that little stutter it's been getting off the line after it's been idling for a while?

ps - How does having a lift and big wheels effect how much power your engine has? :)

it shouldnt it was probably a temperature thing (it might have been a hotter day) and pod filter will make differance too.....

it wont affect the power of the engine. but it does affect the power read on the dyno as the gearing is changed. Just the same as doing a dyno run in different gears will give different results. Specially in turbo cars because i know for a fact my car makes quite a bit more power in fourth than in 2nd or 3rd.

surely since the engine is pushing bigger diameter wheels than it did before- it'll take more effort to spin the dyno rolly things therefore losing some HP? or maybe i dont know how a dyno works.
if thats not the case i reckon i shoulda made a little more power than before because i have a high flowing pod now. but yeh temp would make a differece too.

so subi are you happy with the results is the car better now? did they say it was out of tune by much?

well after fitting my td04 and boost controller the car had been runnin like shit anywhere after say 6-7 psi, surging and sturring etc. i had it tuned today again by the boys at rotormotion.
i asked if they could tune it more for torque- being an offroad car- and they said they could do that. this hopefully explains why it didnt make any more HP. even so i was expecting a little more. but she drives nice on the road now, no hesitations all the way up to 12psi :) going fast in an L series is starting to scare me :p

i worked out the numbers also:
stock ea82t bhp is 112 and you lose 20% they say through the driveline which would make 89.6HP ATW which is 74.27 kW. so im ahead by a little, but not more than last time.

here are the results anyway- the previous run is in the blue, todays ones in red. top lines are HP bottom lines are psi. nb: i didnt acheive the 99.6 hp today, was less.

Thats still good horsepower considering the over gearing presented by the larger wheels and you have a nice curve to the power delivery now.

stop showing off Mattims :p

yep SWK is right Curves are nice now. but doesn't really seem like a worthwhile mod if its not needed (which in ur case it kinda was)

My phone converter tells me.
99.6 Hp = 74.27Kw (old run)
95Hp = 70.84Kw (estimate on this run)

EJ22
134.1Hp = 100Kw (at flywheel) :p
Stock EA82T
110Hp = 82Kw (at flywheel)
