EA82 oil pum nut, do , undo , how

OK how have you undone or done up the nut on EA82 oil pump shaft when rebuilding ? I eventually used rattle gun to undo once I had the pump off.

Just what methods have you used to tighten this nut. I am thinking of the integrity of the pin through rotor if u hold rotor in wooden cased vise .

I use the old cam belt to hang on to it & do it up with the rattle gun & put some locktite on the nut...
