Forester seat covers - canvas or neoprene?

Post by Dicks » Fri Feb 10, 2023 11:28 am

Hi, we recently purchased a new Forester and are thinking of some decent seat covers. We did have light cotton canvas in a previous Suby and they were good but did not fit the contours of the seats that well. So we are looking at neoprene as they supposedly fit much better, however I hear they can be quite warm? (we are in QLD) Any feedback out there one way or another please?

If you’re after good fitment you’ll need to find a mob that make a set specifically for your vehicle and if you have side impact airbags in the seats the covers will have to be compliant with those requirements too.

I’d imagine the neoprene could get hot and breathe less than the canvas would. But if you’re getting wet all the time (eg after surfing) the neoprene would be the go I reckon.

Have you tried looking up any online suppliers like little black duck?

Cheers

I went for the Jacquard Weekender Seat Covers for my Honda HR-V.
They are expensive but are worth every cent, mine are 3 years old still look good, not faded either despite being black.
They are great seat covers, Grandkids have spilt milk - chocolate etc. on them, there is no sign of a stain on either the covers or the seats underneath.
