lifted Gen1 GX liberty:

My drivers side rear control arm bush is weeping fluid.

has anyone priced a genuine replacement from subaru?

I am not keen on the nolathane ones after seeing brett destroy a set in a matter of months..

Also whats involved infitting these? remove the whole control arm and use a press to push the bushes?

would it be silly to get some the whole housing from a late modle car and swap it over???

Later ones won’t fit, they run a different offset.

The nolathane ones that Brett destroyed I think were install the wrong way around in the retainer. (Yes there is a wrong way to fit them)
My dad has had them in his series 2 Liberty now for over 18 months & they are like new.

Genuine are like $245 each new. & There is a left & right hand they are a complete unit.

You will need a shop press & some good cutting tools to remove the hydraulic bush....

The Nolathane ones are $100 set & will install them in to the retainer for $25...

I don't think being installed the wrong way round had anything to do with them wearing out so quickly. That's if they were the wrong way round. My thoughts are that they aren't up to the task of an offroad based Subaru running 29 inch tyres and a modded 2.5 turbo. It does put a hell of a lot more force/pressure on them than what they were designed for.

I had only done the rear of the front A arm but if you have the whole are out it couldnt hurt to change the inner front ones
