agree with fang
agree with fang, scorpion is the goods!!!
Good luck getting in to see them. Last I spoke to them they told me they weren't accepting 'new' customers. I pointed out I've spent over $2,000 in purchases through them, but no, that doesn't count.BYB-01 wrote:Formerly known as "The Subaru Shop". All they do is Subaru work. They know their stuff.

John French at Marooka delivered the goods and took care of me. I buy all my servicing parts through them now, and take the car in to them when it's over my head.

I have to agree with this statement 100% however yes they are very stretched at times as a result those that have experienced their work do not go else where, so their repeat clintel is HUGE.BYB-01 wrote:Formerly known as "The Subaru Shop". All they do is Subaru work. They know their stuff.

On another matter though sorry Stinky but 2k of stuff will not even get you close I have been with em for over 10 years and would blow 2 grand with em a year (well maybe not quiet but you get the idea).
Toyota 105 Series LandCruiser (that nobody on here wants to really hear about).
RX Touring Wagon - fitted out for 4WDing (currently collecting dust).
RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

Sure it's not a huge amount of money over the life of a car, but it left a sour taste in my mouth to spend that and then get told I'm not a 'returning' customer less than a year later. Still it's their business and it's their choice to do business that way. I'm more than happy to take my business to John French who are busy, yet have time for me.Jaffa wrote:On another matter though sorry Stinky but 2k of stuff will not even get you close I have been with em for over 10 years and would blow 2 grand with em a year (well maybe not quiet but you get the idea).

I would consider a returning customer someone that returns more then just once a year, but if that’s how you see it. Each to their own I suppose cause my experience with John French left a sour taste for me which was a shame as they were like 2 minutes from home.

I guess the best advice is that if the Subaru Shop will let you in, then they're definately the bees knees. If not, then John French is a close second.
I haven't done anything with Scorpian so can't comment on them.

The boxer service thing is very well said Stinky. I to have only ever heard good things about Scorpion have never actually been there for mechanical work.

Thank **** I'm a regular with Boxer Service Pty Ltd I'd hate to have to drive to Scorpion or elsewhere from the SSC Brendale is bad enough thankyou.
I love the work Boxer Services gives and their recommendations are spot on too.
I had to have the composite clutch replaced in the Forester as it began to rattle on take off in 1st or reverse, it sounded very much like a heat shioeld rattle but Andrew said straight away it was the clutch and Brenda recommended City Subaru to me so I rang them there and then and they booked me in for 5 days later (weekend included in the 5 days) and the wife I spent the day with our daughter from Redcliffe whilst it was done under Warranty. Boxer cannot do Warranty work
as they are only Service Agents but I too can thoroughly recommend their work.
Hey Stinky did you think to ask about being put on a waiting list in case somebody leaves town or heaven forbid lose the Suby in a na accident?
Might be worth a phonecall if you really want them to service your Suby.
