I have noticed at recent car shows that people are running a dial type fuel pressure gauge inline under the bonnet both with carb and efi set ups. Given the many and varied problems people have with the tune of a car thinking it is a good idea as efi is pretty relient on correct fuel pressure.

Anyone done this ? where'd you get your gauge, what, and how much and your experiences ??

u talking about just a guage?? or an actual fuel pressure regulator...the regs are not particularly cheap but can be usefull with efi models

Every EFI car has a fuel pressure regulator!

Some regs do have an inbuilt pressure gauge though.

I'd say it would occasionally help, although at the end of the day you'd go just as good with a gauge in the toolbox. Like you said, EFI fuel pressures are usually pretty good.

Maybe there's some wank factor in an under bonnet gauge. My housemate's Monaro has one....

Under the bonnet is pretty good for tuning applications...Cant say ive seen one insdie a car before...Maybe your thinking A/F metre ?

No real need unless your running some decent mods tho....

holding hands up way high....

just seemed to be a dial gauge in line not regulating nothing

good under bonnet for handbrake dyno runs. I don't want 50 psi stinky bloody petrol coming up behind my dash.
