L Series 2" lift - Steering prob

Hi Guys,

Just had my subi lifted 2" and fitted some new 14" rims & slightly wider(195) tyres. I expected my steering to be heavier(bigger tyres) but it seems to have completely lost its self centring & has become very uneven in it's turning force. I had it all wheel aligned and the mechanic is yet to test it but - he reckons it's just from the bigger tyres & is expected.
Just wondering if anyone had a similar prob when they lifted there's?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks again

Rod

You sure you havent put the tower tops in the wrong way around?

i lifted mine 3" last week with 27s and seems fine, almost normal with allowances for the tyres.

I was once told the change in Caster(from the lift-not adjustable) can make the steering lighter and have less self center, but it shouldn't be too much?

With an L series the offset in the tower top block is offsetted to make the strut sit in the same spot it would have if the strut was lowered in the same spot as original. Or they do anyway in an AUSubaru kit.
