What's this instrument cluster off?

Hi guys, was around a mate's house this afternoon and he's acquired this instrument cluster. He was going to use it in a project of his, but after a decent look at things he's decided he doesn't want it anymore. Just wondering what its off exactly, he suspects a late model WRX but he's not sure.

Any help would be appreciated.

looks like Mazda RX7 FD to me.

The 8000 rpm redline is a slight hint that its not out of a wrx

I'd have called 7500rpm the redline and 8000rpm the limiter, although that doesn't stick quite true to a WRX too...

speedo dosen't go high enough for either from memmory wrx speedo's go to about 260 mark and i know rx7's go past 200 other wise i am no help.

majority of JDM factory cars have speedos that go to only 180km/h.

FD RX7- series 6 to be exact. the s7/8 is a little bit different.
