You know you had to much practice at CV Boots when you can do them in about 2 hours, from jack up to jack down having a chat to a mate...... So whats everyones best time?

Yeah probably about 45 minutes too, from driving to driving. Holding a beer too no doubt, so if I pulled my finger out I'd probably do it quicker..... considering I can swap an EA81 drive in drive out in about an hour...

i thought 2 hours was good, maybe i need some more practice..... no wait a minute no i don't..... LOL!

Having done more than a few about 20mins a side for an L series and slightly less for a Liberty. If i have a ready made shaft to do a swap over L series can be done in about 10mins both sides

I am interested in the ten minute call, how did you do that quick? What did you have access to? I am very impressed...

Crack the hub nuts jack and take wheels off all using rattle gun, take strut out of hub, knock pins out and remove shafts swap and do reverse of instal pretty easy really. HOWEVER if as sometimes does happen a CV is siezed on the spline it can take an hour to get it out only.

Yeah the Libs are bandits for the spline siezing.... damn reliable cars!

My MY wagon's front CV's splines are never siezed, damn things are pulled apart at least every couple of months!

took me and dad 5 minutes to dismantle it. took us 2 hours just to work out how to get the CV boot on we ended up makin a cone out of some PVC, greasin up the cone, slidin it down it, and then over the outer joint, n up to the engine, same with the inner. overall id say 3 n a half hours, through lunch (10 minutes... damn grease-ridden sandwich).
