Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water i purchased and fit this little bad boy.

MORE than happy with the results... as u can see it fits VERY well. Haven't finished the plumbing in the enigne bay yet.... still exploring filter options.

This is not an invitation to dare me to do deep water crossings though... im still scared of water.

i have not done the engine bay yet.... still thinking of a filter idea that im happy with.

I didn't have to cut through that much at all... have a look at the link below and there are some more pics that might give u more of an idea.

100% well done! I am looking at adapting a Safari Snorkel - but I want it to come down right hand side of my L Series. I am extremely impressed at that effort.

I agree the drivers side would be better for a L series... ANd MY has the battery and all sorts of stuff on the drivers side.

I thought about this one for the L Series.

Have to be careful with the angles though or it will look craptastic

Can argue with that though. Sure, the air will be colder but the longer inlet tract will reduce throttle response.... flat foot a turbo EJ in neutral for a full second then do the same on an NA EJ... the NA will hit the limiter the turbo won't.

Hilux 2.8 Diesel? Does that mean any Hilix with a 3L motor (ie LN147?).

It has some sort of LN# on it. I will get it for you after work.

Nice work there...looks as if its supposed to be there...nice indeed!
great that you can fit it on the passenger side - usually just not possible, never liked the look of em on the driver side myself.

hey what fastening does it have on the A pillar section ? I see the 4 big bolt holes in the side panel.

Hey dave, Nice work!

When's the prop going to be installed???

Very clean and professional job there, you must be proud.

How'd you go about finding this item and knowing that it would fit so well?
