Dyno results
I have finally managed to get the Liberty dyno tuned. It is an EJ25 that has been fitted with new diesel sleeves, has been fully closed deck, is using STI heads, cams and inlet, 440cc yellow tops, TD04, WAIC, 3" mandrel and Microtech LT8s.
It was dynoed with the 29's on in 4th gear. It showed 170hp ATW (128kw) with 5.5-6psi of boost. The figure sounds a little low but considering the tyre size and minimal boost I am happy with it so far. Torque was excellent at 348NM and it came in very early in the rev range. It seems to be a very good base map to work with.
Once I get the IC sorted out (this one was blocked with mud) and the new turbo with 15 psi it should show well over 200 ATW.
I did a quick calculation with tyre sizes/gearing. If it had been running standard size tyres it would have been 198Hp ATW. Bloody good for 6psi.
The torque is awesome when driving it. 1500rpm and feed it in 3rd and it pulls very nicely. Can't wait to get more boost and better intercooling happening.

Al, I am looking for a VF24 for it. I would go a VF37 if I could find one at the right price.
I may go to a VF23 but I think the power range would be further up the rev range than what I am wanting.
The fuel economy is a lot better than the 20l/100 that it was getting. Todays effort returned 12.8l/100 with most of that highway driving. A bit more refining in the IC/turbo - boost area and another tune should see it the way I am wanting it.
