ea82t spider manifold?.....
Have recently installed a OE one.
Bolts straight on, however...
Many tears / time spent with idle, economy etc. Seemed to cause some conflict with the ECU that didn't result in an error display?? Eventually with much assitance from Steve B we have nailed it
But it was worth it - now that it's sorted, noticeable power increase / throttle response - esp in mid range. Will be even better with the IC connected
Had intended to do a power run B4 and after, but didn't round to it.
Vortexs / import motors were a good supply - found mine in a shed underneath a pile of junk - $50
Making one? not sure how you address the coolant channels

Spider manifolds are not overly hard to come by and i dont think you would gain anything by making your own other than a headache. If you do install one on an early ECU (3Plug) you will have to fit the early TPS and modify it to work backwards, you will also need to extend a few of the leads on the engine loom to reach a few of the sensors. You will also have to change the infeed pipe as they are different too
