Both headgaskets blown... with pic

Well I finaly got around to pulling down the Vortex turbo motor that i bought.
Both headgaskets were blown, one more severe than the other.
So now i need to get some more, and i've decided im gonna do all the seals on the heads.
And i was wondering what brand of headgasket do you recomend or if you had a bad one, ill advise?
I can post pics aswell if requested for those of you that havent seen a blown hg, this is the first one ive done.

you recently went over all this and have all the advice you need...USMB
i remeber you giving advice to members on headgasket repairs..and now i read this......i hope your repairs are succesful...monotorque works to 12psi with no problems. you can fall for turbo headgaqsket falicy,s but there just a money spinner..21$/gasket is the trade price norm...

Hey Suparoo I'd love to see what they look like. Symptoms of a blown head gasket are bubbles in the radiator and possibly a milky colour correct? I have never seen a blown head. Whats involved in fixing them? removing the heads and machining them and the block right, sounds expensive...

Scoobidoo.... $21 where are they from?
Im prolly gonna go for a kit that has all the cam seal, o rings and associated gaskets needed for head repair.
ACL or Monotorque probably

Suparoo - thanks for that, not to much to look at hey. Whats a blown head gasket mean to the engine? ie whats needs to be done? Just remove and replace the gasket, what else?

Well you can see that there is now a gap between the cylinder and a coolant passage (sometimes it is more severe than this and there is also a gap unto the oil passage)
Most times a blown hg just means that it will need replacing.
Mine had obviously sat for a while with water in the cylinder, there is a bit of surface rust in the cylinder.
So im goin the full hog, it gettin a hone, new rings and all the seals replaced.
