Removing Speedo Cable from Gearbox.

Removing gear box having difficulty removing speedo cable from side gearbox. Is it screwed in or is it push in. I dont want damage it .

It is screwed in, getting it out is easy just use a small shifter ... getting it back in depends on how clean it was when you took it out ... take your time and make sure there is no sand /mud debris around the cable head.

Clean real good first.

17mm spanner to get it out from memory, turn, rotate spanner, turn, rotate spanner. You'll know what I mean ;)

One of I'm used to turn off centre as it came out. Also be careful as the bit that screws I to the gearbox is plastic. Once the Hex shape is rounded the cable is cactus.
