Catalytic Converter Removal.

Post by Gazza01 » Tue Aug 16, 2016 7:19 am

Have noticed that the first CV drive shaft boot to break up is the right front. Talking to a Subaru Mechanic and he tells me that the heat from the Catalytic Converter shortens the life of the right front boot and that its removal in my Brumby may be the solution. Any one out there with their views on this subject.

Some simple shielding on the Catalytic Converter should help stop this from happening. i can guarantee if you remove the Catalytic Converter you car will fail its next roadworthy.
