Just saw Imlach's in Dandenong have a 1975 Leone wagon in the yard, VIN A64010162XXXX. Anyone need parts from this generation ? Probably won't be there long...

I'll grab some on the weekend. I just saw it pop up yesterday (landed in yard on the 6th).

Not sure if they sell the car whole, should be no reason why not. Probably would have to wait for the weekday guys to come in. Here are the details:
Imlachs Self Serve Auto Parts
Ph. 03 9547 7377.
My guess is trucking it up to NT would be scarily expensive...

Shame it is being parted out as it appears to be in quite respectable condition.

Not sure if they will sell it complete, a lot of wreckers refuse to do so once it has entered the yard.

Ask! Before the current owners they used to sell bodies for reshelling projects. The new mob might do the same so long as it's of a statutory write off.

Cheers

Hey guys, I had to grab a few bits from her for the '77 wagon I'm trying to get roadworthy. I had a close look at the windscreen for you, it's got a couple of stone chips that would fail RWC (in VIC at least). The windows in the doors are quite badly scratched from rubbing against the winding mechanism, but the panels look pretty decent and not too rusty.

What parts did you grab 77soob?

Seriously, there is no need to use secondhand windscreens when you can still buy them new.

Thanks,

I would still grab the windscreen ( as its better than none atm ) & keep it as a spare - How much do they want for it ?

P.S. - I'm in Brisbane, but my '76 wagon is still in Darwin ... ;)

Was thinking of doing this to mine :

More info here : showthread.php?t=22649

That would be good for cutting up & spare bits ( but I don't have the time / money for it atm )

Does some one want to try it out ? ( Or at least save it from the scrappers, will need somewhere to stash it for a while )

Cheers, Bantum ...

Yup, found a guy here in Melbourne who will do a brand new windscreen installed for $180 so they must still be in stock.

I've ordered the rubber for it from a bloke in Brissy- he's got a few of them but no chrome inserts:

Bantum- nice sketch, looks like a cool project! Unfortunately I don't have the space or I would have loved to rescue it whole.

Sublime- I needed a new window regulator since mine is rusted out but ended up taking the whole door. Also got some handy spares like the tail lights that would be a pain to track down if they ever got cracked. Was stoked to find the original grille for mine (someone had swapped in an 80's one) and the rear wiper that was missing :-)
