There is a lot of oil accumulating around an 8mm or so metal pipe screwed into the only LHS cylinder head, just above header pipe. There is another pipe that looks to be turbo oil feed ?.
Pretty hard to follow things under here, so anybody tell what's in this pipe, where's it go. Am I right with the turbo feed pipe ?
thanks,

Left when you are looking at the engine from the front would be handy
there is a small pipe at the rear of the head which is oilfeed
there is a larger pipe at the rear of the head which is oil return
and the one down near the exhaust port is a water cooling supply line
the other line out of the turbo across the top is the water dump pipe to the thermostat...so all the super heated water goes straight away from the engine, as the turbo really heats the water as you could imagine Jono
it must of been really hard to type your post from under there too
Hope this helps mate..cheers

LHS refers to passenger side in a right hand drive car - in my post. Sounds like I better go look at RHS head too ! thanks
scrub, scrub, scrub (as soon as sump guard comes off )

Sounds like the EGR pipe. That's on the LHS (passenger side) in about the position you're describing. Dunno why it would be oily though, unless you're burning lots of oil, or maybe it's running down from somewhere above and is just visible from around the pipe.

If the oil is around the pipe as it enters the head you probably have a leak at the rocker cover but could also be where the cam carrier joins the head

Yup! would think pipe is egr related given its pozzy.
The oil does look to be coming from cam box to head join.
Good thing engine is to come out
