Lift kit repair job,

The young fellow has bought a Brumby which has been lifted 2 inches. However and inspection reveals that the lift block on the top of the passengers side Shock absorber has been put in wrong way round resulting in the passengers side front wheel having a bad inward camber. The drivers side front wheel is perfect and the lift block is in correctly. What I will have to do "I THINK" is compress and remove the front left shock absorber unit/spring and unbolt the left block and turn it around. However is it possible for me to raise the front of the vehicle allowing the left front wheel to hang down unsupported, then compress the spring and unbolt the left block and turn it around without removing the shock absorber unit. Removing the shock absorber unit probably no big task, but I was hoping to lower the unit enough to enable me to turn the block around.

You don't have to compress anything to remove the lift block

Just jack that side up, remove the 2 nuts at the strut top inside engine bay and undo the bolt at the steering knuckle and the strut will slide out. Remove the lift block from the strut (2 nuts) spin it around and bolt it back on. Don't put the strut in back to front. Probably a 1/2 hour job at the most.
