Nah I was talking with him the other day and mentioned something on the forum. Turns out his computer kept returning a certificate error and wouldn't let him near the site.
He found out he could access the forum through a google search which then let to the address he was using - https:// Once that "s" for secure was removed he was able to access the forum again.
Apparently he's only got 6 months of updates to catch up on!
He may be at hardly normal atm buying a few spare keyboards though
