I need a set of front Brake Pads for my 90 Brumby. Bendix DB426 are priced at around $80.00 , but I see a crowd at Ipswich, Q'ld are selling Untima Brand DB426 for $38-00 on ebay, postage paid for 4 front pads. Thats nearly half the price of Bendix. Anyone out there got any comment on why they are sooooo cheap and if they are quality pads.

I got Protex ones for the same price recently (Thirty eight $...can't write $38) I think the difference is in the composition of the friction material. Cheaper ones being standard stuff and the Bendix ones being some extra grabby compound. I got my discs machined at the same time and even with the standard pads there was a noticeable improvement in braking.

Too long ago to remember details but I had a car where I had the discs machined, fitted new pads, they must have been a hard/crappy compound material, they chewed the discs out straight away, pulled the pads, threw them (literally) into the adjoining bush, had the discs re machined, fitted a different/new set of pads and all was great.
Moral of the story is to buy a known pad with known material or you may end up with more problems than you first thought.

I think I have a spare set in the shed still sealed in the Bendix box if you want them, I am going EJ 5-stud and won't use them.
