flasher cans in MY, lost ?? FOUND!!

One reason I was late for Tims feeding time in Canberra on Saturday 03062006 was the need to get to a wrecker while the sun was shining (he is likely to be in a good $$ mood) to get his last MY combo switch.
My hazards won't blink, my indicators take it in turn to either just glow or do nothing depending on stuff knows what - so it sounds like switch is falling to bits and or flasher can(s) at same time.
But being fuji I am sure the flasher cans do not look like a normal can, and cannot find simply by listening coz they no longer have noise, sure to be one for each circuit, but I don't know, beginning to suspect could be a multi purpose unit.
Anyone know what is what when it comes to flash cans in MY and Brumby ?
the look and location ?
thanks
UPDATE: it's not the combo switch as have just plugged in the spare and it does same thing !! Really sure it is a dual purpose flasher single unit somewhere hard to see and get at - or a poor earth maybe ?
out comes the Gregorys manual
the diagram and list only makes reference to hazard flasher unit with one yellow , one green wire each with white trace and a black (earth) wire.
Surely must be easy to find and get at !

I have found two silver cans mounted in rubber mounts. they are about 15mm diameter mounted side by side screwed in next to fuse box
is this what you mean chubby ?
wiring diagram for earlier model has a flasher unit as well as hazard unit

I wonder just what they really do Chubby, coz they do have some hefty wiring (time to study diagram based on their colours).
I found my flasher can - 30% full of bloody water !!
It is an electronic flasher too - it's a wonder the lights did anything at all - no fuse blown ! I now remember some years back I wrapped it in pipe insulation Bradflex ? to shut it up and tucked up behind aftermarket carpet back of accy pedal.
Next river crossing I'll walk first !!

and Chubbs, I am not knocking you for maybe not being right about what's under my dash, other input always helps (challenge sometimes!)
those little cans I refer to look to be relays - headlight relays
part # 056700-5260 9G28 12V 22A ink stamped on them
If I coulda seen the flash can on the donor I woulda pulled it too, instead got headlight relays (for another time praps?) and another black box with the name NILE on it ?
thanks,
jono

Shoulda asked me in Canberra mate, I could've told you where they were....
I've never had a tadpole in one though! Filled several with water however.

still no blinking indicators ! new flash can electronic did nothing, so dried out the old electronic one and now get hazards and other road users are trying to let me know my hazards come on when indicating !! better than no indication (leaves my options open - left or right !!)
Tim, that was one thing I forgot to ask - we ran out of time
back to the shed or the pushy.
still same problem with either combo switch
with flasher disconnect, ignition on then after I try to indicate I hear a very faint zzzzt up in fuse box area that goes when ign off again. noise always starts when try indicate. maybe fuse on its deathbed ??

dirty little fuse...didn't burn out properly
check, check and recheck your own work...double that for someone elses !!
tickers work and so do me hazards
I am surprised at the amount of corrosion in the flasher and around the IC electronic bits that it still works !!
TIP from the spare parts boys...sometimes a new can needs a tap to free up contacts inside can. Took it back anyway, part number on outside box different to inside and still did not work, looked at me a bit suss as if I'd stuffed it - return electronic components not easyl

i know what u mean by not easy to return electronic parts :P
i tried returning some parts for my dash and the guys thought id swapped the good ones for the bad ones and tried to get money back :P heavy convincing was needed
good luck with the issue
