Lift Kit Tyres Scrubbing

I've fitted a 2 "left kit to my 92 Brumby , but the front wheels angle in and the tyres are scrubbing. I have followed all the proper instructions I think. The only thing I can think that is wrong is the blocks on the top of the shockers are fitted incorrectly. Each block has been fitted with the lower base of the block closest to the engine with the top plate on the block furthest to the outside. Any indeas out there. I have fitted then according to the picture attached.

A picture of the front of the car would be better, as it sounds like you have put the blocks in the wrong way... some how?

That description of the strut top blocks you've given sounds wrong, I can't tell from your picture. The blocks should locate the strut top in towards the motor (giving it negative camber) and rearwards.

You also need to get a wheel alignment because the toe setting is probably cactus.

This Photo shows how the from wheels are out of whack and tyres scrubbing after I installed my lift kit.. Still have the 13" wheels on -don't want to put 14" on and scrub good tyres. Assuming the blocks are installed right on the struts is there ANY thing else that could cause this problem. All the other blocks have been installed as required.

I have put a Photo of the left hand front wheel following installation of the Strut blocks. Will have to probably redo my strut blocks but would just like to know if they can be the only problem if installed wrong.

The strut blocks are really the only thing that can affect the front tyres, also where are they scrubbing ? on the strut orthe front or the back of the wheel wells ?

, also a photo from in front of the car , to show the orientation = / \ or \ / of the two front Tyres would be good.

Looks like the blocks have gone in the wrong way.

Did the struts come out when you put the blocks on? you may have put them in on the wrong side.

Oh there's a point, if you had both struts off the car at the same time it is possible to mix them up and put the left strut on the right hand side I think, well at least it was when I put L series struts in mine. You would have had to twist the strut top 180 degrees to do it though, not easy with the MY rubber bushing strut tops. And just to re-iterate; the strut top lift block offset puts the lower plate/top of strut closer to the engine ;)

Crawled under front shockers and shone a torch up and placing my hand up on the block i am now convinced that the top edge of the blocks are closest to the engine on both sides. The info I have received is that the lower edge of the lift block should be the closet to the engine. The car was bought in this condition.
