Most workshops will replace cv boots and not charge that much
They are cheap to buy the boots on there own around $17-$25
If you have been 4wding with the boot broken and got dirt inside you may as well kiss them good bye:(
If you haven't done them before good luck, It's always good to watch someone change a boot first. But it's a messy job

If you 4wd a lot it might be worth buying a new/rebuilt complete shaft.
They are not expensive and become a "wear item" if you have a lift that drastically alters your CV angle. Once you have a spare you can get it rebuilt and rebooted and you are ready to swap in a whole new shaft as soon as you pop the next one!
