I know what most would be thinking right now. I saw the wet last week, and this morning , spied the windscreen rubber had gapped itself right on a mould join near the corner up top. Bloody 8mm viewing hole right through to inside.

Has anyone had any bad with ebay sourced screen rubbers ? Giles ?

8mm!? Has the rubber shrunk away from the bodywork?

I get a damp floor too sometimes after a night of heavy rain if I'm parked nose pointing down the driveway. Can't find any gaps in the windscreen rubber. Seems to be coming from the bottom of the A pillar....right where I pulled that moldy shirt from a while back...Definitely not good for the long term health of my A pillar

Like the dented tailgate the leaking windscreen or A pillar are factory options.

I've used two ebay windscreen seals without issue so far. Mind you one's only been on the vehicle for about 2 months, the other has been about 3 years without issues.

I'd definitely go with these again - one reason is that there's no other alternative other than an old crusty (generally) original windscreen rubber. I doubt you'd be able to fit it back into the vehicle anyway!

okay, it may be 10mm, instead of being a complete circle of rubber, it snapped, split, broke shrunk. It looks, or would look as if it was out on its own and someone just cut squarely across it to make it a long piece rather than circular loop. Peer from the top, can see inside !

Not sure if the aftermarket ones take the metal inserts ....

Yeah they do! Just be sure to fit them to the rubber before fitting the rubber and windscreen to the vehicle
