Has anyone had experience with Gabriel Front Struts on a 91 Subaru Brumby. I can get a pair from the USA imported for $210.00 (Aus $). Thats Number G55726. Hows that price also.

Yes I have a set in my brumby. I got them through Supacheap relatively cheap.
they have a good ride with the stock springs and are height adjustable. I have mine wound all the way down. I also have them in the rear.
I'd recommend them!

Just putting this out there - and is in no way an indication of my experience or their current build quality, but I remember the WA boys years ago complaining of the durability of the Gabriels.

I'm sure Guyph was one of them and some of the other older WA crew could share their experiences as well. I've stuck with KYBs on the rear of my L rather than go the Gabriel route.

Cheers

I don't go offroad with mine... just onroad so they are fine Elfreddo.
I only paid $200 for all 4 trade price vs $500+ for KYB's when im pulling them out to go 5 stud anyway.

KYB are what come from factory and will last you 4 or 5 times longer than Gabriel struts, so depends on how long you want to keep your car.

I should've also said that the aftermarket KYBs are gas, the genuine are oil filled...
