this is a specific post to generate ho hum interest in the rotor button for EA82 of the spider Vortex. Series 2 NA mpfi may not apply here. Carbies neither as they retained clip on dist caps and mpfi got screw on type.
Remember, any input helps the limited number of dudes with these now low volume beasts
To look at Boschs latest online catalogue of 220 odd pages of stuff, Subaru is sorely represented
I already have a dizzy parts thread somewhere so know the series 1 EA82T and likely Vortex NA and Royale also being mpfi NA would likely be the same if thy ran Hitachi distributors. Nippon Denso was alternative, or was it just Denso?
Series 1 EA82T ran GH617 cap and GH605 rotor
Right here must say I have not tried to even size up the GH605 against the rotor in my spidey Vort dizzy and suspect it ain't it. It is held in by a screw but think original series one also had a screw retainer.
We also know thanks to Subybrumby Trevor and a team of smarts found his EA82T must have been 4 plug series 2 - ran GH623 which is made for mid to late 80's Nissans in 1.6 and 2.4 litre jobbies, such as Navara MX and Pulsar.
I scoured the catalogue looking for alternatives - the Navara that uses GH623 cap uses a GM841 rotor.
