Brumby power steering

Post by Corax » Sat Jul 12, 2014 1:27 am

Hi All,

With the new brumby I have discovered that when I put the steering on full lock oil pisses out of both ends of the rack ( yep, that's what you smelt the other day Jules). Without looking at any parts diagram I assume that there are seals at both ends that need replacing? Or does the rack need to be rebuilt? If its just the seals does anyone know where I might source them from?

Thanks,
Dave.

Yeah, best to just get the rack rebuilt professionally when that happens. Although some swear by a cap of brake fluid in the power steering to swell the oil seals and extend the racks life.
