L series wagon to brumby radiator question

Post by Pogman » Wed Jul 02, 2014 2:50 pm

Quick question, will an L series radiator fit into a brumby ute without modification? Or limited mods. Are they the same?

Cheers

answer can be yes, no, yes, no and depends on what engine you intend to run.

I have done one to cool an EA82 in my 84 Brumby. Shortened the pins down below, removed the locating bits off the bottom of the Brumby MY radiator, riveted them onto Brumby front rail. The locating pins and rubbers are gender reversed between the two models. Top locating bolts no line up either. I stepped the top forward by 10 or 12mm to allow for an adaptor and gave hoses no stress.
EA81 gonna be different in the bottom hoses area
