That thing has been sitting up there for probably 6 months now  He says he got it from interstate and can't sell it whole because of the monster truck lift kit and wheels, being not road legal here in SA.
Will it ever end!?

It may well have come from interstate, but it was first listed here in Adelaide.

He can sell it whole, just not as a registrable vehicle . Eg sells you the tailgate for $100, the tyres and rims for $900, then sells you the rest of the incomplete vehicle for $4000, and you trailer the "parts" away.

Its non-registrable anywhere in OZ, if inspected, because
1) lift kit > 2" (50mm)
2) hubs drilled to 6 studs
3) tyres too great a circumference

Just needs to be engineered by someone, or go over the pits at regency. Either will work as long as the modifications have been done properly. So best bet is to take it to your local dodgy engineer ;) Oh how I wish I lived in Qld for that

Cheers Cam

No, it won't. Not in a million years in SA.

Make a great YT video watching the Regency staff reactions as this rolls up for inspection though!

Selling my brumby project. (For essentially the cost of the lift kit and wheels)
Does run a bit rough but a carb tune could fix that.
Has some rust around window, left A pillar and surface rust on roof.

Tray is good, treated with bed paint sealer.

Dent in tailgate.

I've had this in my garage 3 years and just don't have time to do it up.

Price is fairly firm.
Will need trailer as steering rack isn't the best.

Can provide more photos on request

"Here is a dream of mine that I wasn't able to finish with a young family I don't have time to work in my garage, so this has been in the garage for the last 3 years.

In that time I have managed to get new quater panels, replace bumper bar, and front shocks (second hand parts used)

The engine does run but is a bit rough until it's warm then it will idle fine.

Has a 2" body lift and 23" maxis tyres on sunraysia rims.

The best feature of this ute is the targa roof, these are getting more and more rare. The seals and glass on this are really really good.

I've had several people call saying "I'll come get it" then never to be heard from again, so I thought I'd try out ebay and see if this would go to someone who will actually come and pick it up.

Would be great for parts for your Brumby or if you have the time to do it up as an offroad toy or comp truck.

Pick-up within week of wining bid, contact to be made within 24hrs of auction finishing. "

Hi Welcome to my Auction. Here is my Subaru Brumby Ute. This regretful sale but due to buying a motor home one of the toys has go! I bought this as shell from Dubbo in 2007 and totally strip car down on rotisserie and had inside cabin and ute section coated in Ryno Lining (cost $2000).It doesnt run any carpet just mats. The body was professionally painted in a WRX 99 white colour. It cost $6000 to be painted. The body has a 4 inch lift kit running L series struts in the rear and fulcrum coil over with pillow ball in the front. The tyre / wheel geometry is spot on as tyres dont scrubbed like most lifted brumbies/Leones.The brakes are GT twin spot brakes up front and liberty GX in rears. The pedal is a little hard as the standard booster is a little small for the assistance, but work fine. The engine is a hybrid full rebuild running a liberty 2.5 block and 2.2 heads.Mainly to fit in the chassis rails with cutting rails.I didnt want to go down the turbo road as ive had turbo brumbys before and i wanted torque and reliability. When car was built in 2007 i had a low k speedo fitted which had 82,490K on it and now has 107161kms, so it has done very little work in the time its been on road. The gearbox is a forester dual range 4.1 ratio. It is running a KAAZ 1.5 rear diff ($1200). Also it runs a small air tank running off the A/C compressor so you can toptyres up or use compressed air.The vehicle doesnt have air conditioning or power steering.Mandrel bent stainless 2 3/4 inch system into a magnaflow at rear. Everything has been engineered from the start (except for exhaust) and nothing has changed or altered. The wheels are off a Peugeot rally car and have some stone chips.Tyres are 90% left and i have a spare but rim wont be for sale. There is also a H bar at rear of ute that slots in and is useful for long items to carry. There is some rust bubbles around LHR/RHR wheel arches.A few light dents too. Hid Lights up front. There is wiring in roll over bar for spotties. The tailgate has a ding (as most real brumbies have!) I have been driving this more on the road than off and had no trouble except for a lift pump fail. It also runs a surge tank and bosch fuel pump. The radiator may need replacing down the line but works fine. The stereo is a Alpine unit with two 6*9 , pioneer amp and 2 five inch speakers in the doors(getting a bit old now). There will be some thing ive forgotten. I dont want any swaps just cash or bank cheque please. Message me and i will try to answer any questions Number plates are not for sale too.Has a Alarm too but no siren. There is a custom mattress to fit ute area and custom tarpolan that fits over top of car and ute. all you need is poles/ropes. ####################################################################################################################################################### THE PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED. I WILL NOT TAKE ANY THING LESS! I ALSO PREFER BANK CHEQUE OR CASH NOT PAYPAL DUE TO FEES. Thank you

WRX Blue targa top in SA!

Post by Silverbullet » Sat Mar 28, 2015 11:20 am

Mum said she saw this blatting around Marion today, had a look on scum tree and there it is. "All stock apart from the WRX paint job and bucket seats"
Not really worth $6k with all stock stuff I don't think :???: But someone will buy it I'm sure. Yes, it is exactly the same color as my wagon, maybe I should swap my white ute for this and have a pair the same

^ Looks pretty clean SB.

Dunno it's worth the $6G, but then again, you'd be getting a pretty good paint job with a free brumby under it...

Has the engine bay been sprayed as well or is it still the old factory colour?

Cheers
