Might have been worth it if the rest of the car wasn't so rough

I've got 2 red ones both 85 models
One rusted badly in tray and other not too bad apart the young fellow I got it off scrub bashed it and hit an umbrella tree and stoves the rh corner in a bit.
There's nothing to get too excited about them as you can't even hang out of the hole after you take the glass targa top out, the opening is very small, and very noisy when driving with them up. (Wind noise)

This one has been floating around on ebay for a few weeks now.....
Not worth the cash they are asking! most of the Tray is completely rusted out, rear wheel arches, windscreen frame, a-pillars, sills and floors are full of beach rust!

I suppose they are like the normal ones - depends upon rust , a/c , canopy , bullbar, paint , engine condition etc, but I'd put between $500 to $1200 onto the price for the targa's - provided targa's are what the buyer is looking for. How quickly the buyer want to sell The $6500 one in Adelaide back on page two of this thread took 2 months to disappear from G'tee without the targa's they would probably been looking for arround $5500Wooster wrote:Two more targa tops spotted, one unregistered at Guyra NSW, a second unregistered at Dorrigo NSW. They're graded as henpecked has suggested - much like a normal brumby for wear and tear with a bit of a premium on a stock brumby.Wooster wrote:Two more targa tops spotted, one unregistered at Guyra NSW, a second unregistered at Dorrigo NSW. What are these worth?
To me, if I were to sell mine I don't want to be in a rush about it so that I get the price I want. A quick sale would be to set it at or just below a regular brumby of the same condition.
If it's running, has little rust and no mechanical issues I'd say a starting price between $4000 would be the go. The better it is the more it costs from there IMO (It really does depend on the seller's opinion though!).
Cheers

As these Targa Tops were never release in Aus without twin head light setup, I'm guessing at some stage in it's life it had a front ender and was too hard to find (or it was too pricey) to get the twins, so the single setup was put on. I've done a few conversions the other wayhenpecked wrote:seems to be a desperate sale has Lift kit , A/C --no rego but only single headlight ????
