L Series centre consoles differ !

Only taken me eight years to realise that the L centre console in my Brumby in rare grey to match Brumbinterior does not have an integral junk bucket at the front, directly below radio hole. It stops neatly and cleanly just after the gear stick boot, whereas my 85 made, 87 complianced GLTA and the rest of my hoard I think? yes ! are integral junk bucket.
The one in my Brumby does not compromise the original MY junk bucket of the radio console.
I suppose everyone else knew this ?

I've notice that the pov pack L series have separate junk tray but the side mount points are integral with the inner gear lever boot bracket/stay.
Where as touring wags/Royale sedans have a plain gear lever boot bracket/stay but junk tray thingy mounts onto front of centre console ASSY.
Not sure if I made any sense there

I've noted this:
GL/touring wagons have a "one piece" front section of the console that incorporates the gear lever and that 'junk bucket' below the radio.
DL have a two piece unit where the console incorporating the gear lever is separate to the 'junk bucket' below the radio.
In the US the rear half of the console is available with the storage compartment beside the hand brake lever much higher than what we get here. Guyph imported one but I don't know if he's ever used it. I believe it matches the height of the door's arm rest
Cheers

Here is a pic of the one that fits nicely into a Brumby to match the L Series 5 speed levers etc.
Got one for sale ? Parts cat lists them as 91,92 GL 4WD wagon-<< my box donor and 86 DL wagon non 4WD if parts reads rightly ?
Leaves a gap, although neatly, of about 30mm between the console and the junk bin radio console of the Brumby
and here is a black one from an RX I think - common as dirt it would seem 'luxury' console section, hoarded as many as five of these, and absolutely no good for my Brumby needs. The gear stick concertina boot fits to a plate that fits in to the centre section, whereas the one above, boot fits direct, no plate
