Ag Quip Brumby pics wanted in here

Post by steptoe » Fri Nov 08, 2013 9:00 pm

Who has an Ag Quip Brumby and can put up pics?

Was the first one in '89 , last in 92 ?

The decals were different surely, between the years ???

Just had someone bleating about having an Ag Quip door....doesn't look like my recollection of Ag 'Quip to me ? :?: OK, I suppose, it is something special to have an Aussie Ag 'Quip Brumby door on a UK stuck Richard Hammond endorsed MV1800 - I am just jealous of the camou look :p

I've seen several different AgQuip decals. I too believe they first came out in 1989 until the last run of Brumbys.

I also reckon they're a dealer "special" or dealer optioned Brumby - one of those packages that replaces the front and rear bars with something more substantial, adds a rear diff guard and some stickers - that's about the only differences between an AgQuip Brumby and a stock Brumby...

Cheers

I've seen a few AgQuip 88' Brumbys (white or beige ) over the years but 92 year was the last AFAIK.

I think its originally American :
There was a special 30th Anniversary Edition 'Subaru Legacy Brighton Wagon' that was offered in the USA with upgraded interior and sunroof, spoiler, alloy wheels on the "L" trim level cars. The USA-spec "Brighton" trim level also carried over from the facelifted first generation version that was priced below the "L" trim option.
More details here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Legacy

Some how the name ( or graphics at least ) found its way over here on some similar models ... :)

Bodymold ...

Post by Bantum » Mon Nov 11, 2013 2:19 pm

There are some Subaru graphics that they produce ...

Their main web site : http://www.bodymold.com.au/automotive/subaru/

And the alternate Bodymold web site : http://stores.ebay.com.au/BODYMOLD-A...=p4634.c0.m322

I note that the later its missing some of graphics found on their main site.

Hey, I've never seen that unique cars article, looks like a dead ringer to my ute. Guess that means I could have an Ag-quip then. I've had some people tell me it is & others say it's not. It certainly has all the features they mention in this article.
Would be interested to hear what the consensus here is.

Has it got all the relevant bits - like a rear sump guard ?

If it does, then I'd say it was ... :)

You mean a rear diff bash plate?

I think these were also a factory option - Sunnie the (Targa) brumby has a rear diff bash plate - but it's not an Ag-quip.

Remember, these vehicles are of age where parts are easy to interchange over time - the Aq-quip bits are relatively easy to transfer over -except the decals unless they're a reproduction.

As I've said, I'm certain the Ag-quip was a dealer option, much like the SkiFx Liberty, the Enduro L series (and sports wagon for that matter).

I would say that if you don't have the Ag-quip in your decals it's not a "genuine" unit.

Rodeo4Jake, you've got one of the last production runs of the brumby - most of the '92 brumbys seemed to be white with those exact decals you've got. They may have come with extra options to use up the remaining optional bits that hadn't been sold already, plus it'd sweeten the deal to move these units on.

I'll keep an eye out for an Ag-quip brumby for more pics ;)

Cheers

I have a '92 Ag Quip sitting out the front. It's done a lot of work though and it shows. But all the decals are there...
